Minions are fast flying units recruited using Dark Elixir. They look scary!

Strengths
They can destroy bases easily when you deploy them in large packs after air defenses are taken out.
A cheap unit to buy compared to other dark elixir units.
Weaknesses
Extremely vulnerable to air defenses such as the Wizard Tower.
Easily destroyed by splash damage and air bombs.
Just like barbarians, you can use minions to triggering potential air traps by sending a few from different locations. This will reduce your casualties once the traps are triggered.
Giants and minions make a good combination to take out defenses. Let the giants take tower aggro while your swarm of minions take care of demolishing bases.
Send in a group of minions to take out bases that lack air defense. Pick on a certain area where air defense is not present.
